Dog Pound rules

Season-long NFL spread picks. One team each week. Most points wins.

Making a pick

Choose one team against the spread each week. Your line freezes when you submit, and your pick locks when that team's game kicks off. With no-reuse enabled, a team can be used only once unless its game is voided.

Scoring

An underdog that covers earns points equal to its positive spread. A favorite or pick'em that covers earns 1 point. A push earns 0 points and preserves your streak. A loss or no-pick earns 0 and resets your streak.

Streak multipliers

Winning streaks multiply weekly points: 1 win = 1×, 2 = 1.25×, 3 = 1.5×, 4 = 2×, and 5 or more = 2.5×.

Hardcore mode

When enabled, an underdog must win outright to score. Covering the spread without winning counts as a loss.

Voids and timing

A postponed or canceled game that cannot be graded for its NFL week is void: 0 points, streak preserved, and the team is available again. Members joining mid-season begin at 0 points and a 0 streak.

Tiebreakers

Final ties are ordered by best streak, then outright underdog wins, then earliest league join time.

Weekly winners and ledger

When a commissioner enables money tracking, each week's highest positive score earns the configured weekly payout. Ties split the payout in whole cents and any remainder stays in the season pot. The transparent ledger records buy-ins, prizes, adjustments, reversals, and whether each obligation was fulfilled.

Season settle-up

After the regular season, the remaining pot is credited to the season winner under the tiebreakers above. Settle-up nets only unfulfilled obligations and suggests the fewest practical direct payments.

Stayin' Alive never moves money. All payments are coordinated outside the app.
